SpecialsOur school uses an ongoing rotation for specials. An easy way to remember your child's special is to think of the word CLAMP, as we rotate through each special. C-computers, L-Library, A-art, M-Music, P-Physical Education.
If we would happen to have an unplanned day off such as a snow day, we would have the special we missed, rather than skipping the special. For example, if Tuesday was our day for Art, but we have a snow day on Tuesday....Art would move to Wednesday. |
HomeworkStudents will receive one weekly homework packet that covers language arts and math topics for the week. This packet will come home on Fridays and be due the following Friday. This will allow you to find a time in your schedule that works for your family to get homework done. I believe that homework is a great opportunity for you to be involved in your child’s education. Therefore, please have your child complete it and review it for accuracy with them. When it is returned, I will only be spot checking it. So, if you come across something that your child really struggled with, please write a note on the homework packet or circle that particular problem and I can address it here at school, too.
Students will not typically have homework in Science and Social Studies; however, there may occasionally be project work or assignments given in these subject areas. |
BirthdaysDue to student allergies, birthday treats sent in to Pataskala Elementary must be items that are not edible. If you would like to send in small toys, pencils, erasers, etc. please feel free to do so! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
